The MTL5053 is a specialized module designed to extend 31.25kbit/s (H1) fieldbus networks into hazardous areas. It provides both power and communication capabilities to devices powered through signal wires. This module is ideal for use in systems with shorter safe-area bus lengths, where its internal terminator can be activated via a switch on the module’s top.

• Fieldbus Device Location: Suitable for use in Zone 0, IIC, T4-6 hazardous areas (upon proper certification).
• Hazardous Area Fieldbus Power: 18.4V ± 2% with 105Ω ± 3% DC impedance.
• Maximum Current: 80mA.
• Maximum Cable Length: Determined based on IS requirements, depending on the connected devices and the acceptable maximum voltage drop along the cable.
• Digital Signal Transmission: Compatible with 31.25kbit/s fieldbus systems, adhering to fieldbus standards.
